A Mapping Mania
I am here at the ancient site of Palenque, Mexico this summer to study and to edit the Palenque GIS map (converted from AutoCAD to ArcGIS). I am recording data about the site's layout from the vantage point of how people interact with the site, its infrastructure and its natural setting.
This site is one of the most beautiful spots in Mesoamerica due to the springs and water cascades that cross its interesting topography. It is located at the base of Don Juan Mountain in the state of Chiapas.
